Is Energy Pledge an energy provider?

No, Energy Pledge assesses your energy provider vs the energy providers they work with to see if you can get a better deal in terms of savings, clean energy or customer service. 


How does Energy Pledge earn their money?

For each person that switches to one of Energy Pledge’s selected providers, we receive a payment from the respective energy provider. We then share this payment with your chosen cause. 


What will I get with my switch?

Energy Pledge will find you a better energy provider in terms of savings, clean energy or customer service. So receive a better energy deal and feel good about making a difference with your switch.

Does it cost me anything?

No, it’s absolutely free! There is no cost to you or your selected cause. Energy Pledge makes the donations on your behalf to your selected cause once you have successfully switched.

Will it take me long to switch?

Not at all! We aim to complete the switch within ten minutes of your time. Just provide us your contact information and a few details on your bill and we will guide you through the rest


Can I pledge from my phone ?

Energy Pledge allows you to sign up from any device. You have a number of ways to provide us with the energy information we require, including simply taking a photo of your invoice or uploading a PDF and let us take care of the rest

How does Energy Pledge select the energy provider?

Energy Pledge’s team of experienced advisers has conducted the analysis of how energy retailers compare on key aspects such as savings, clean energy offering, customer service awards and contract terms. We start by presenting the retailer with the largest savings as this is usually what people want. However, if clean energy is the most important factor for you, simply let us know and we will find you a provider that will help you to reduce your carbon footprint. 

How much will I save with the new Energy Provider?

Energy Pledge's team of professional advisors will review the energy bill with your current provider and provide an accurate assessment of your expected savings before you make a decision. 

What if I’ve never heard of the Energy Provider you’ve recommended?

If you haven't heard of them, it means that they don't have the resources of some of the larger providers to spend on marketing. Energy Pledge selects the energy providers that we know will work hard for their customers. We've done the research for you to make sure that they can deliver what you need, more than what you currently receive. 

How will I know I'm getting a better Energy deal ?

We'll explain how! We stand by our belief that a good service is built on clarity, transparency and trust. So with your review we'll include a link to the rates of the top retailers that have come up in the comparison.

What if I can’t find the cause I want to support?

If there is a cause or charity that you would like to support and you can't find them, please email us at support@energypledge.com.au and mention the cause. One of our friendly team members will be in touch.  

What if I don't like the energy provider I switch to ?

We work with retailers that have a strong track record of customer service. If there is an issue with your new provider that we are unable to resolve, we will work with you to switch you back to your old provider or find a new provider at no cost to you

What other causes can I support with my switch?

We support community causes of all types. Whether it’s a school, hospital, playground or sports club, we can help you raise the funds you need for your selected cause. If the cause you want to support is not on our site, simply email us at support@energypledge.com.au and one of our friendly team will be in touch

When does my selected cause receive their donation?

Your chosen cause receives a donation shortly after you successfully switch energy providers and decide that you are happy to stay with that provider. 

Can my switch contribute to more than one cause?

You can only contribute to one cause per year with your switch.

Do I need to provide credit card details?

If you decide to switch to Powershop by phone, we will require some credit card details, however we have strict procedures to make sure that your credit card details are only provided to the energy retailer for the purpose of paying your bills. At no time are they stored by Energy Pledge for any reason. 

Is my personal information safe?

Absolutely. We respect the privacy and information of all individuals. For details on how your information will be handled, please visit our ""privacy policy".

How long will it take for me to move providers?

Once you have accepted your 'Energy Pledge Switch Application' the actual transfer process from your current retailer to your new retailer could be as quick as a week. Sometimes it could take longer, but Energy Pledge and your provider will provide regular updates so that you know exactly when the switch happens.

Will there be any disruption to my service during the switch?

None at all. The main difference you will notice is after you have switched when you receive your invoice, it will be from a different provider. 


Do I need to cancel my current Energy Provider Contract?

No. We will take care of this with your current and new energy provider to make this process really simple for you.
